Policies

Upon submitting the 2007-Present Registration Form, the undersigned parent/guardian (“Parent/Guardian”) accepts and agrees to the following terms as part of the conditions for the admission of the below- listed student (“Student”) to Juliet Music in school year 2007-Present and also on the web http://www.JulietMusic.com/School_Policies.htm for the most updated policies.

STUDENT ABSENCES/MISSED LESSONS

When a student signs up for private lessons or classes, he/she is paying for a specific lesson time slot. Since this time slot is reserved for the student and no other students can be booked during that time, payment of a lesson is due even when the student is not able to attend. Student signed up for three month 12 lessons are eligible to have the max of two valid excuse absences. Students signed up for one month 4 lessons are only eligible to have one valid excuse absences. For group, Choir and other lessons there will be no makeup if you missed the lesson. To be eligible for an excused absence, notification of a cancellation must be given at least 24 hours in advance (please calculate your calling time, the scheduled time and check our office hours); this cancellation  only valid when talk to someone in person, No voice mail messages. For all valid makeup we will extend the time frame; for example, if you sign up June 1st for 12 lessons, you will be ended on august 17th. For max of 2 make-ups you will be extended to august 31st which is 2 weeks.

If failed to call and make-up the lesson will end-up surrendering the lesson without notice.

What is considering being a valid absence?

·

      A valid doctor’s note

Please call a day before you feel sick and do not call the same day if possible because that is unfair for the teachers. Teachers will have to wait here for nothing just because the student didn’t call; on the other hand, if the students called 24 hours in advance then we can call and fill in teacher time by moving other students forward or backward.

·

      Special holiday

Students must let the school know 48 hours in advance if you think you will be out for the holiday event.

·

      Server Weather Closings

In the event of severe weather conditions, the Juliet Music Center will follow the public school closings of Forest hills. Closing information will be provided to 1010AM Winds    and 880AM radio stations. If the school closes, Students will be contact by school to reschedule for the following week.

Lateness Policy

Please note that students are expected to arrive on time for their lessons. In case of late student arrivals the instructor is not obligated to extend the lesson, and lessons will end at the student's scheduled time. JMC is not responsible to make up the time lost; on the other hand, if the teacher is late, the time will be made up for the following lesson.

Photo/Video Policy

Juliet Music may photograph/videotape classes or event for education purpose, website and publications. If you do not wish your child or your self to be photographed or videotaped, please submit a brief written statement to the Office.
